PRIVACY POLICY

PRIVACY POLICY

At Marilyn Moore we take your privacy extremely seriously, and do everything possible to protect the valuable personal information you provide to us.

1WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When you purchase something from marilynmoore.com, we collect the personal information you provide to us such as your name, address, email address and telephone number. Where available, we also keep a record of your order history.
When you sign-up to our newsletter or purchase from our web site we add your email address to our mailing list so that we may send you emails about our website, special offers, new products and other updates.
We promise that we will never sell your personal information to third parties.
Our use of third party providers extends only to those services necessary to allow you to purchase from our web site, enable delivery of your purchased goods, or receive our promotional emails.

2E-COMMERCE

Our store is hosted by Shopify. They provide us with the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.
Your personal information (name, address, email address and telephone number) is held on an encrypted database on Shopify's secure servers, behind a firewall.
Only those people who explicitly need to access your information, for example to process an order, or contact you for customer service or marketing purposes have password-protected access, and we take all reasonable and appropriate measures to make sure it isn’t lost, misused, disclosed or altered.
Note: we do not store any financial information or card details within our Customer database.

3YOUR FINANCIAL SECURITY

If you order online from marilynmoore.com we never see nor store your payment card details.
As part of the ordering process your payment card details are immediately encrypted and communicated to Shopify Payments using SSL (secure socket layer) technology and utilising the latest AES-256 encryption. Shopify’s secure handling of your payment card details uses the same rigid encryption and security techniques that most UK banking websites use.
If you order by telephone, we record your payment card details only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. As soon as the payment is processed, your card details are securely destroyed. As a responsible retailer we are bound by the standards set by the Payment Card Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), and are required annually to comply with its conditions, related to the secure handling and destruction of credit card information.

4THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our use of third party providers extends only to those services necessary to allow you to purchase from our web site, enable delivery of your purchased goods, or receive our promotional emails.
The Shopify e-commerce software collects your name and address information, which allows us to process and deliver your order. It also collects your email and phone number so that we are able to communicate with you in relation to that order.
Shopify Payments securely collects your encrypted payment card details. We do not see this information. Shopify informs us if payment has been successful and allows us to process and dispatch your order.
When we send out new product updates, special offers, sale details and newsletters we use your email to communicate with you. For this we use an e-mailing company called “Mailchimp”. The information they store on our behalf is encrypted and held on secure servers. They are also bound by the requirements of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

5HOW DO YOU WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT?

Every email we send to you has an ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the message. Clicking this link will allow you to remove your details from our marketing database.
You can also request your details to be removed from our Customer database at any time by sending an email to shop@marilynmoore.com or writing to us at:
